Bordeaux vs. Napa Valley

Education
POLICY
DESCRIPTION
Bordeaux and Napa Valley are both internationally recognized and highly- respected wine regions known for producing intense and structured wines. In fact, many of the grapes grown in Napa Valley originated in the ancient Bordeaux region. However, even when working with the same grapes, producers of these two regions are creating wines of completely unique styles. Thanks to their sunny growing seasons, Napa has become known for their fresh and flavorful wines, while Bordeaux produces wines that are typically more reserved and subtle in their power. In this class, we will discuss the differences in winemaking traditions, regulations, and philosophies that influence winemaking in these different regions.

- Six wines will be tasted.
- Artisanal cheeses will be served.
- Discounts available for wines tasted in the class that you’d like to take home!
