Job Title: Delivery Driver (Part Time)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Primary Purpose and Function

DCanter is looking for delivery drivers who can help make our customers really happy by delivering delicious wines straight to their door - efficiently, safely, and with excellent customer service.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate friendly, customer-focused service at all times.

  • Efficiently follow route and time schedule.

  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a vehicle.

  • Collect customer delivery signatures and follow delivery processes as outlined.

  • Ability to troubleshoot delivery issues.

  • Check customer identification in line with company policy.

  • Inform on new products and services.

  • Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.

  • Complete logs and reports as necessary.

  • Follow traffic regulations and safety standards.

  • Work productively within a team.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

  • Other activities as assigned.


Knowledge and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalency.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Customer focused and strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to operate Apple products and Microsoft Office software.

  • Experience with wine and beer deliveries preferred.

  • At least 21 years of age.

 

Physical Demands

  • Lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Must be able to operate and licensed to operate a motor vehicle.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to 4 hours or as needed.

  • May frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.

  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures as well as all local, state, and federal laws concerning employment to include, but not limited to, I-9 information, EEOC, Civil Rights, and ADA.

We will prefer applicants who have their own vehicles. We will reimburse for the mileage incurred during deliveries.

Job Title: Sales Associate (Part Time)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

                                                                                                                                

Primary Purpose and Function

Assist customers with fine wine selections, process sales transactions, and ensure that inventory is properly stocked and accurately accounted for.  


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with fine wine selections with knowledge and enthusiasm

  • Process sales transactions using point of sale software with attention to detail

  • Keep displays properly stocked with inventory and properly account for inventory

  • Pour tastings of beer and wine and provide customer education on products

  • Assist in store cleaning and maintain the orderly appearance of the store

  • Work productively within a team

  • Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends

  • Other activities as assigned

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Certification from Wine & Spirits Education Trust, Society of Wine Educators, or sommelier training strongly preferred

  • Customer focused

  • Demonstrated passion for fine wine and craft beers

  • Basic computer skills

  • Retail experience preferred

  • At least 21 years of age

 

Physical Demands

  • Lift, carry, and move inventory weighing up to 40 pounds

  • Make frequent trips up and down stairs

  • Remain on feet for extended periods of time
